Time: 9:00 AM

|
Looking for information about the Namekagon River? New exhibits at the Namekagon River Visitor Center will help you to explore this river home for lake sturgeon, bald eagles, and black bears. Learn how the river has been a central feature of 10,000 years of human history. See how the Namekagon River is a part of a larger watershed and part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverwaya unit of the National Park System. Park Rangers staff the visitor center on weekends in May and September and daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Open hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Namekagon River Visitor Center is located on Highway 63, a half mile east of Highway 53, in Trego, Wisconsin. It features exhibits on the river's natural environment, the 18-minute film The St. Croix: A Northwoods Journey, and a bookstore. It is also a great place to plan a paddle along the river, providing visitors with maps and guides of the National Scenic Riverway.
